Brief Review:

Merku Thodarchi Malai shows us the story of a hardworking labour (Rangasamy) who lives in the western ghats with the dream to buy a land and he want to live with the income from farming. He works hard and harder to meet his dream. Will his dream come true, will he lead a happy life after that? The film shows us more natural things via Rangasamy, also shows the day to day life of the people living in that hilly terrain (more rural areas) in the most natural and realistic way possible.

It was a great directorial debut for Lenin Bharathi and most of the producers will not come forward to produce such movies but Vijay Sethupathi believed the script of the director and given us this master piece.
