Facebook paid $20 to access their User’s Data

Facebook paid its users, including teenagers, to track their day to day activities in there smartphone as part of an effort to extract more data that could help the social network’s competition efforts, according to a new report that may raise new privacy concerns.

Recently, a leading tech news site reported that Facebook was paying $20 per month to its users from 13 years old to install an app called Facebook Research. The app used Apple’s business tools to ask for an iPhone user’s permission to install so called VPN software that could track browsing habits.

Apple said that it had banned Facebook from distributing the app, saying the company had improperly used it to track the web browsing habits of teenagers.

Facebook in another statement said that it had secured users’ Permission.
